Approach

It takes courage to begin therapy and open yourself up. In my experience, it is often through the broken parts of ourselves that we begin to recognize our wholeness. Claiming each part of our experience brings strength. My style is interactive, and through a creative collaboration, therapy becomes a safe place for curiosity and reflection. We will think together about your life and I will help you to set aside judgment and develop a gentler mindset. This process will encourage you to understand yourself in new and helpful ways.

I am guided by three foundational beliefs in my work with every individual: 1) Your past informs your present. Your patterns of relating with others, which are often outside your conscious awareness, can become known, understood, and reshaped in therapy. 2) It is enormously healing and transformative to share what is most genuine and real about your unique experience. 3) You already have core character strengths. They protect and sustain you in ways you may not recognize. These strengths can be harnessed for good in your life.
